Spelling Bee
The 2019 Spelling Bee Workbook is meant to assist
learners to understand the meanings, and familiarise themselves with the
correct spelling of the list of words identified by the Department of
Basic Education for the 2019 Spelling Bee. The sound files will help
with the correct pronunciations of the words. Schools, teachers and
learners are encouraged to take up the challenge to participate in the
Department of Education Spelling Bee Competition. The competition not
only provides learners with an opportunity to test themselves against
other learners, but also to discover in an exciting way the importance
of understanding the meaning of words, how they are used in a particular
contest and how to spell correctly.
